Low Power Radio Solutions (LPRS), European market leader of sub-1GHz wireless solutions, is pleased to announce a new increased payload size per transmitted message of up to 390 bytes for its eRIC-LoRa ISM LoRa radio module.
Developed in direct response to customer demand where standard LoRa payload sizes of up to 256 bytes are not enough to fulfil emerging application requirements, this new feature allows more OEM“s to use LPRS“s LoRa based wireless modules where it was not previously possible.
Nick Pummell, Managing Director of LPRS comments:
”The past few years have seen the emergence of many new medium bandwidth wireless applications which traditionally could not use LoRa or other ISM technologies due to the limited transmittable payload sizes.
Our R&D team have spent many months researching and reworking low level RF & microprocessor code to push the boundaries of what is possible and have now reached our objective of a much larger payload size to accommodate emerging customer demand, in what we believe is a world first”
This new feature has been designed specifically for applications utilising high precision centimeter accuracy RTK GNSS positioning systems such as Smart Agriculture, Industrial measurement, UAV, Ground based Robotic & Large vehicle navigation, where a high degree of positional accuracy is required.
